D'après les commentaires des visiteurs, la cuisine canadienne et japonaise est plutôt bonne. Goûtez un saumon délectable. La plupart des invités recommandent de goûter une glace délicieuse. Un vin délicieux est ce qui peut vous faire revenir à ce restaurant. C'est le moment de déguster un thé immense.
L'atmosphère agréable de FRILU fait que les clients se sentent bien et passent un bon temps. Un personnel gracieux vous recevra chez ce lieu tout au long l'année. Des plats délicieux à un prix juste sont offerts ici. Les invités apprécient un décor familial. C'est un restaurant 1 étoile au guide Michelin, cette reconnaissance est habituellement donnée aux restaurants qui servent des repas delicieux.

Blown away by the experience. Finding it (and parking) was a little challenging, but it is worth the money and effort. Every course was crafted with care, and the service was top notch. I've never had pork as good as high grade japanese wagyu beef (which I have tried) until coming here; I can still taste how perfectly juicy and sweet each small bite I took to savour the flavour was. Honestly, the chef must have used some sort of magic to make it so delicious because I was brought to tears and my sister laughed at me for it. But it was REALLY that good. I really appreciate that they had a non-alcoholic drink pairing, as we both prefer not to drink alcohol. The drinks were just as carefully paired and prepared as the food, and the sommelier was so knowledgeable about different preparation methods. Seriously, I wish everyone could try this restaurant at least once in their life. It was an experience I won't soon forget! Michelin starred restaurant with an interesting tasting menu in Thornhill. The food was quite refreshingly different and had a good selection. The wine/beverage paring was also on point. FRILU is an Italian and Japanese fusion restaurant wannabe. At the price they are charging per person it is disappointing. It is located on a busy street where when you look out the window there is zero scenery. Maybe a ramen store is a better place. The restaurant ambience itself is noisy and carrying a conversation needs much effort. The table is rather close. Casual meal yes, romantic dates maybe another place. The appetizer “Haida Gwail Tuna”, I seriously have not met any chef that can make the Tuna taste like an expired fishy. The food in general is all over the place. Some are too salty while some have no texture. There are no stories. Presentation wise is at best junior level. At this price, I expect the chef to communicate with me through his cooking and there are none. The wine pairing is mediocre. It neither complements and enhances the food nor gives any contrast. Yuya Shimomura himself is mumbling all the time. I could hardly hear him. Maybe I am sitting to close to the AC. The service is great however. A gentleman ( I never get his name) very nice. Him I can hear very clearly when he explained the dishes he brought over. Lastly you are not allowed to bring any cakes for your celebrations. The so called surprise they might provide is “No Surprise”. Yes. Nada. Don’t expect any thing from them. So you see for that kind of price you pay 400+ tax and tips, noisy restaurant, bus like location, normal food (nothing like a WOW factor), compulsory wine pairing (really poor pairing) and inflexible accommodation for personal celebrations for your special one this place is unreasonably priced. I can easily name some restaurant better at that price range. I will not return or recommend anyone I know to go there.
