It’s an average restaurant, with average taste, ambience and service. Not going next time

Ordered mango shake (which was the only item that lived up to its name), beef behari boti of which they served 1 skewer and which smelled sour and awful as if they pulled it from the depths of their freezer after storing it for 3 months (really smelled like it) and horrible taste, seekh kabab which had a similar smell but not as strong as the behari boti (maybe the kabab was just 2 weeks old so it was slightly palatable), nihari which was made from tough cuts of meat which were not tenderized and basically the whole thing tasted similar to aaloo gosht, daal makhni was again not fresh but 6 out of 10, and there was something wrong with the rice as the smell suggested; maybe it wasn't basmati rice, or if it was, then of poor quality. Service was hasty, with different servers making 10 rounds to our table to serve, of which a few rookie mistakes were made although the eatery is pretty old. For example, they served kabab and nihari, but for 15 minutes left us hanging without any naan. Being a connoisseur of Pakistani Food and a great supporter of Pakistani restaurateurs and family businesses, I would sincerely advise Zaaffran Kitchen to train their staff properly, including the servers and the kitchen staff. Also, they need to make sure their inventory is not older than a specified period of time as prescribed by the health department. And lastly, the philophy must improve, they must realize that a restaurant, even if it is a family run business, must be treated like a restaurant and not your residence as far as serving guests is concerned. Because as millennials grab a huge chunk of consumer market share, people will easily opt to go to other places if this place does not improve. Sincerely, A huge supporter.
