Celebrated my 30th birthday here with a party of 3. Immediately upon walking in the ambiance was fantastic. Definitely eclectic, and moody, just my taste. The servers were inviting and helpful, and waited the tables with care, improving the atmosphere as they bustled around. I received many compliment on my hairstyle, and it was just making me blush all around! Lol The menu was small, but obviously put together with care for each of the dishes, and that carried over to the flavours and plating. I had oysters and beef tartare to start, both were simple, yet bold. Oysters are almost always good, if you like them of course! As for mains, two of my party had the filet mignon with potatoes. This dish really shone, with well thought-out flavours, and a richness I had been craving. Another party member had the salmon, and enjoyed the trout roe on top! Great choice of roe, I’ll add. Overall, will be coming back for a more intimate experience with my boyfriend in the future, to try the boar chop, and bone marrow! Well done to everyone. We stopped by Sous Sol after watching Wicked, hoping for a pink and a green cocktail to celebrate. We mentioned this to our server, and he served us with custom drinks that matched the colors and even named them Elphaba and Galinda. It was such a thoughtful, creative touch that made us feel genuinely seen and appreciated. We only came for drinks this time, but the service alone makes me excited to come back and try the food.
