Went there with my co workers there for dinner. We ordered Teppanyaki along with tempura. When they bring out the sirloin beef, we noticed that the color is grayish red. It’s clearly a sign that the meats are not fresh and after we tasted it, we confirmed our thought. On top of that the batter on the tempura is really thick and you can taste that the deep frying oil is old. A little disappointed since we all looked forward to enjoy the foods in this restaurant. Price per person: CA$50–60 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian options: They offer a vegetable Teppanyaki and vegetable sushi.

Where Your Tastebuds Do the Sumo Throwdown (and Kendy Wins Every Time!) Attention, foodies! Attention, hungry warriors! I just had a dining experience at Shogun Japanese Steakhouse in Prince George that deserves its own victory lap. This place isn't just about tepanyaki tables and flaming onions (although, let me tell you, those onions get a standing ovation); it's about a culinary throwdown that will leave your taste buds begging for mercy (with a happy sigh). **Five Stars Don't Do It Justice:** This place needs a rating system involving exploding fireworks, showers of glitter, and maybe a conga line of satisfied customers. Every dish is a masterpiece, a symphony of flavor that will have you rethinking everything you thought you knew about Japanese cuisine. Seriously, I contemplated writing a haiku about the teriyaki chicken, it was that good. **Meet Kendy, the Teppanyaki Master:** Forget the hibachi hype, folks. Shogun's all about the teppanyaki, and at the helm of this sizzling spectacle is Kendy, the chef who could probably juggle shrimp and slice steak blindfolded (and probably still make it look better than anything you've ever cooked at home). His knife skills are sharper than a samurai sword, and his ability to cook up a feast is nothing short of magical. **Sake to Me! (Order the Sleeve):** Now, let's talk beverages. They have a sake selection that would make a geisha blush, but here's a tip: order the sake sleeve. It's like holding a tiny piece of Japan in your hand, and you can try them all without breaking the bank. Just don't wear white; sake spills happen, and nobody wants a wasabi-colored wardrobe malfunction. **Overall:** This place is a must-try for anyone who appreciates good food, good fun, and good knife skills (seriously, Kendy could give surgeons a run for their money). It's entertaining, it's delicious, and it's an experience you won't soon forget. Just be prepared to loosen your belt a notch (or two) and maybe take a nap afterwards – that food coma will hit you like a sumo wrestler's hug. Five stars out of five, with a gold medal for Kendy and a standing ovation for the entire meal. Itadakimasu! (That means "let's eat" in Japanese, and trust me, you'll be saying it too!)
