YunShang is better. I was excited to try Shi Miao Dao because they had a larger non-spicy noodle menu than YunShang. I got the pork stomach and chicken noodle soup. The soup actually had a nice medicinal flavour and the cook on the chicken was goods. However, the noodles were over cooked. The pot it comes in does not stay hot for long. The quality of the assorted ingredients seemed lower (cheaper spam and fish cake). I was also annoyed that they serve it with all the topping already put in by them, as I like to keep the minced meat sauce and corn out of my soup so I can eat it slowly. Also, there is a note at the bottom of the menu that says noodles refills are free, but cost $1 if sharing. Sharing is not a defined term so I don’t really know what that means. The service was also terrible. The place was empty, but they never check on you or ask if you need anything. Instead they were just hanging out at the bar. Someone came in at some point and a staff member went to the back to bring her some frozen lamb racks. It was clearly a personal transaction. I doubt I would ever return.
