I like their coffee almond cake and chiffon cakes. It’s a hit and miss with their pastries, either too sweet or just right. The palmiers are good and activated charcoal are too bland. The croissants are just okay. They give 10-20% end of the day sale around 8 pm as they prepare for the store mall closing. I asked the cashier about the coffee vs mocha and he didn’t know, I think as part of their training should be able to try everything so they are well educated with their products. Overall the staff are fast and nice. We’ve gotten numerous pastries from this Saint Germain Bakery location, including a custom birthday cake, and they’ve all been stellar! Delicious and beautiful in every way. The staff here are lovely. A lady working here gave some great recommendations for my sister’s birthday cake. The bakery is half display and half self-serve. It has classic displays of baked goods near the cashier counter, and self-serve tables full of pastries such as cream puffs and coconut buns that you can choose yourself with tongs (that are pre-packaged). I’ve gotten one of their Mango Cake slices, which was scrumptious! The mango flavour was super fresh and prominent, and the cream icing paired with it nicely. For my sister’s birthday, we ordered a custom Strawberry Shortcake with White Chocolate shavings. It was absolute HEAVEN! Light, fruity, not overtly sweet, and fluffy. I definitely recommend this Saint Germain location for some quality Chinese pastries and cakes! Vegetarian options: It is a bakery, so they have lots of vegetarian options with their sweets. Dietary restrictions: They can accommodate some dietary restrictions. Wheelchair accessibility: This bakery is located all on one floor, in the mall’s food court. The self-serve displays are accessible.
