I stopped by mainly for tea. The design is stunning: modern, refined, and thoughtfully curated, with beautiful lighting, marble tables, and an open kitchen that adds a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere. It feels calm, elegant, and well-balanced — a space where you want to slow down and enjoy your time. Even though I only came in for tea this time, the overall experience left a great impression. The menu looks promising, the presentation is beautiful, and the attention to detail in both the interior and table setting is clearly noticeable. This visit was more of a “check-up,” but it definitely won’t be the last. I’ll absolutely be coming back to try more — especially breakfast or a full meal next time. A place with great atmosphere, strong design identity, and clear potential. Price per person: €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you are visiting Riga, Restaurant John is definitely worth a visit. The food was excellent. Although the main focus was on different dishes featuring duck and pike perch, they managed to create a great variety of flavors using these ingredients. Some dishes were fresh and sharp, while others were more rounded and complex. The wine pairing was well thought through, with several pleasant surprises when combined with the food.
