Un bon attrape touriste comme on les aime : nourriture insipide et prix exorbitants pour le pays. 5,50€ la bouteille d’eau …A éviter même si le cadre est joli

I do not recommend visiting this restaurant!!! We were planning to go to a restaurant called City Restaurant, but by mistake, we ended up at Regina Del Gusto, as they are located next to each other, and it’s easy to confuse the two. When we sat down at the table, the waiters were polite, quickly took our order for drinks and food (we ordered two daily specials, chicken fillet on a skewer, and pasta with seafood in tomato sauce). At some point, we noticed the name of the restaurant we originally intended to visit across the street and realized we were in the wrong place. We decided to check the rating and reviews of Regina Del Gusto, and the first thing we saw was, “Don’t go to this restaurant, the food and service are terrible.” Since we had already received our drinks and utensils, we decided to give this place a chance and stay for lunch. We were served two soups: fish soup and chicken soup (see photos below) — they were the most disgusting and tasteless soups we had ever eaten. They were completely bland, without any spices, and had a strange color, as if they just poured hot water and tossed in some vegetables. We decided we would pay for the drinks and leave. When we called the waiter to announce our decision, he immediately became angry and said we needed to talk to the manager. After a long argument, the manager offered us to try the main dishes, and if they were also bad, we could just pay for the drinks and leave. They brought us the main courses: grilled chicken with fries (x2), calamari with potatoes and spinach, and pasta with shrimp (which we didn’t order). The waiter rudely placed the plates on the table without clearing the uneaten soup and sarcastically asked if we were satisfied with the food?! The chicken was drenched in oil, undercooked, and completely flavorless (no salt or any seasoning at all), and the calamari were overcooked and also oily. We decided it wasn’t worth it, so we just paid for the drinks and left. After further analysis, we realized that tourists mistakenly choose Regina del Gusto instead of City — they have very similar menus, but the prices are much higher at Regina. Currently, Regina del Gusto has a 2.7 rating, but I believe this is a mistake because they don’t even deserve that. I think they need to change the kitchen staff, stop copying the neighboring restaurant, provide proper service, and cook tasty dishes. The prices should match the quality!
