Portobello Restaurant was the perfect choice for my birthday dinner. I was searching for an authentic Italian restaurant in Burnaby, and a colleague had highly recommended it — it exceeded every expectation. Every dish we had truly felt like it was made with love. The fresh antipasto with meats, cheeses, and vegetables was outstanding, the Caesar salad was crisp and full of flavour, and both the Linguine alle Vongole and Linguine al Salmone were exceptional. The tiramisu was the perfect finish, and honestly… the bread alone deserves special mention — by far some of the best I’ve had. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and getting the chance to talk with the owners made the experience even more special. You can really feel the passion behind what they do. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
