They serve Newcastle Brown Ale on draft which wasn’t as pleasing a novelty as I had expected; it somehow tastes less interesting dropped from keg to glass. And they have Wells’ Bombardier which isn’t the king of ales, but let’s be as clear as acqua naturale - it’s still an ale and those, in this country just finding its beer feet, are gold dust. So bravo, Mind The Step.
Mention must go too to the burger menu which was simple but comprehensive, including venison, a vegetarian thingy, and more typical chicken or beef versions. I had a chicken curry with rice for €9 and it was more than respectable even if, as is customary here, utterly devoid of heat.
