I visited Malwa Sweets Restaurant recently to buy sweets. I noticed that the staff member serving me began speaking in Hindi right away. While I understand that many customers may appreciate this, not everyone comes from the same background or speaks the same language. Since Canada is so diverse, it would be more welcoming if staff used English as the first language of communication, and then switched if the customer is comfortable with another language. Another point is around customer service. A friendly greeting and a smile can make a big difference in the overall experience. Staff play an important role in representing the business, and a positive interaction often encourages customers to return. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback, as Malwa Sweets has a great selection, and with a little focus on staff training and customer service, it could be even better.
