I read great reviews so decided to stop by on our way back from Kananaski area. The experience made me surprised about reviews I had read the evening before. Food is below average. We had bada pav and dahi puri as appetizers/snacks. In main we ordered chicken tikka masala and bhindi. Spice level requested was regular. Dahi puri was the only item that was good and as expected. Bada Pav was alright. Bhindi was below average (bland... unlike most Indian restaurants which serve great bhindi) and we had to add salt to get some taste. Chicken tikka masala was alright but even being at high ticket price of $17, it probably didn't even have 1/8 of a chicken. Too much masala with too little chicken. Yes I said dahi puri was as expected. However, 6 small pieces were priced at $9 i.e. $1.5 per peace. That's excessively expensive. Service was alright though people were very nice. However, when presented with a bill, I was only told total. I asked for break up which was shown on a tab. I saw one item charged higher. Later was told there was a system error. That means while it was paperless, and supposedly based on a good restaurant software, it has control issues or an internal control issue that price of a dish can be altered. When we are homesick, in another country sometime we value much more than worth. Overall: nice smiling people. Below average or at max average food, ok ambience yet very expensive (for type of place and food). I am glad we tried it on our way and only deviated a few minutes. Certainly not a 'go again' place for me unless quality is improved and prices rationalized. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
