A Neapolitan who goes to live in Greece for thirty years running an Italian restaurant and then returns to his homeland to open a Greek restaurant is, to say the least, brilliant. Let's start from the background: some tables on the pavement in a secluded curve of Via Morghen which, surrounded by plane trees and illuminated by warm lights, recall the glimpse of a Cretan village. Judging by the location, this restaurant seems to be up to the task. The format is that of the "souvlatzidiko", which however is not limited to a discreet gyros pita. Gemista (baked vegetables stuffed with rice), dolmades (rice with meat wrapped in vine leaves), keftedes (meat and vegetable pancakes), all tasty, prepared without local adaptations and with ingredients mostly originating from the Hellenic land . I especially recommend trying the moussaka, surprisingly balanced in its layers and flavours, with a truly original cinnamon scent.
