Pour l'essayer faut être persévérant. Il n'est jamais ouvert alors n'y perdez pas votre temps. Il y a d'autres bons restos dans le coin et heureusement ils sont ouverts
Their all-dressed, double cheeseburger with bacon is an absolute thing of beauty. Their fries are also pretty good though and the order that I got with a trio was huge, too big for me to finish on my appetite at the time. The hot dogs are pretty standard but quite good. But seriously... the bacon double cheeseburger. Do it. The only drawback is that they take cash and nothing else.
I am happy to report than after some opening "fits and starts", they are currently serving some pretty good grub. Through "word of mouth" I'd heard that their "casse-croûte" (or snack bar) items were a good bet, so, on a warm spring afternoon it was time to test it out. While sitting at a counter spot, in front of the register/next to the coffee maker, a pleasant clerk took my order. Penciling down details, like no tomato, mayo and well done - the rest of the order was pretty straight up and simple. In waiting I noticed a guy reading the paper by the front window counter, a chalkboard of coffee offerings, a fish tank, the back side of the menu containing submarines, pizzas, Italian dishes, plus a list of extras for the pizzas like spicy peppers, feta cheese and anchovies. I read through a National Geographic from July of 2013. I was told that they were out of lettuce, but would pickles suffice - for sure, I'm a big fan of pickles - thanks. Soon after I was handed a smoothly folded and well-stapled brown paper takeout bag (a good sign when the bag is cared for). The first thing tasted was their all-dressed steamed hotdog. Not an all beef at .89 but a decent tasting pre-burger & poutine bite. The poutine in a three point deconstructed style; cheese above average, gravy average, and fries below average. Upon averaging, good. Otherwise to note: the gravy was warm, fresh, and less salty than most brown gravies I've tried. The cheese was semi-firm and semi-squeaky. Finally the best part of the meal, their $2 burger (a 5* item). Especially for the price to value and taste ratio. Densely sesame-seeded bun, added mayo and pickle on top of all-dressed items. Here's my digital word of mouth - go try their $2 burger. I'll be back for that, to try some other items and for a coffee.
