We arrived and were greeted by a lady with a bad attitude and scowl. She led us to our table, still frowning and very unfriendlily seated us. I asked her a question about an item on the menu and she looked at me like she was saying...why are you bothering me? We placed our order for drinks and appetizers and after some time she brought it to our table, and it was delicious.
We requested some hot sauce, and she said, again very unfriendlily, "I am busy with other guests and will get it to you when I can". We said very nicely that we'd like to have it before our appetizers finish, and she said nastily..."I'll get to you when I get to you...I have other guests to serve". We asked her if she is so busy if she would like us to leave, and she said "yes please leave as I will not be serving you" and she left.
We were appalled at her response and were getting ready to leave when what look like the cook came to our table and asked what the issue was. We explained the situation and he said "well she is not going to serve you so you better leave". We asked if there was a manager we could speak to and he said she is the owner so there is no one else. We decided to leave and on our way out I said "thanks for ruining our office luncheon...you should reconsider the career you have chosen" to the owner....she said nothing.
It was freezing cold and snowing, but we walked over to PAI restaurant and they welcomed us with extreme friendliness and were pleased to have our business.
It is really unfortunate that this location has ruined our impression of this restaurant, as they have no idea what customer service means. It is obvious that she is over-worked as she is doing everything at the restaurant except cooking, but this is no excuse for her rude behavior. It was VERY embarrassing for me as a small business owner treating my staff to our holiday lunch.
