I wish I could give more than 5 stars because this place is amazing! I am obsessed with Kouign Amann's, but in Hawaii, one goes for roughly about $5.50, making it very hard for me to indulge in them (which actually might be better, considering how many calories one probably has). I knew the kouign amann's here would be bomb af, because duh it's in the name, meaning it's their specialty, meaning it HAS to be good. Right? Right. I got a kouign amann (2,50 euros) which was still warm when I got it, and a Ker-y-Poire-Chocolat (2,50 euro), which is essentially a sable on the bottom, sliced pears on top, covered by a cookie, topped with mini chocolate chips. WOWOWOWOW. I've never had such a good kouign amann in my life. I can confidently say that I've been to Kouign Amann heaven, and I wouldn't mind staying there forever. It was buttery and sweet, and each layer was packed with flavor. At first I bit into it, but I realized that peeling each layer was a lot more fun and made it last longer lol The Ker-y-Poire-Chocolat was very interesting. Lots of different textures. The sable crispy and not too sweet - most of the sweetness came from the soft pears inside, and the chocolate chips on the outside. The pear and chocolate combo was good (and I'm guessing it's for a good reason, since I've seen this combination numerous times in France).
