As someone living in Spain, it is amazing to find a place in Berlin where Spanish food is better than at home. Starting with the simpler part of their menu, their bread is just amazing. With alioli or tomato, the sourdough they use is fantastic. Their Gilda (olive, pepper and anchovy) is perfectly balanced. Following with their croquetas, there are 2 flavours. The chicken is excellent and tastes as expected. My favourite is the mussels croqueta, truly original and exquisite. A Spanish classic is the potato omelette. Simple, yet difficult to master as well as they have: well cooked on the outside, runny and creamy inside. The crispy artichokes are now a very popular dish in Spain. Alberto's team have managed to give their own spin to it, blending it with a deep paprika sauce. Albóndigas, or meatballs, are also an all-time favourite in every Spanish household. Served with a thick tomato sauce, only achieved with many hours of careful slow-cooking, we were served with the true taste of our grandma's cooking, brought to a modern cuisine. We finished with fried pig's ears, crispy to perfection. For dessert, a cheesecake that I cannot dare to describe with words. Great atmosphere, a very engaged team of professionals. By far the best Spanish food in town! The quality of the food is supreme, they treat you as if you were at home. You will repeat and repeat and never get tired of this place. It's a 10 over 10. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

As a Spanish Iberico living in Berlin, you always try to find that missing piece in your heart. Since finding the sun is difficult in Berlin, I try to fill it with good food and good wine. Gotxa filled every tiny bit of it. Good ambiance, great service, and the best croquetas I’ve had in Berlin. I felt like that old man in Ratatouille trying the dish that reminded him of his childhood. Same here, but I’m pretty sure there’s no rat in the kitchen. ¡Un saludo! Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
