Mi dispiace, il Torrinamisu è il nostro dolce più apprezzato. È una rivisitazione, cosa che spieghiamo sempre. Se non tornerà mai più perché non le è piaciuto….pazienza. Saluti

The place is nice and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Too bad about the food, which didn't live up to expectations and the prices were decidedly too high. There were just over 10 of us at the table and: the artichokes were bland, the appetizer quite modest for the price (26 euros) and even the first courses were not saved: personally, I had a spaghetti carbonara. Well, the spaghettoni were actually spaghetti, they were not al dente but overcooked and the egg was cooked in the dish which was really hot. We encountered problems almost everywhere that evening and the final bill was really high (almost 40 euros each). I won't go back. I respond to the reply of the manager of the Fraschetta la Torrina: As for the carbonara, there were two of us eating it and we had the same impression: spaghetti too thin to be spaghettoni and overcooked. We ate them immediately, as soon as they were brought and the sauce was already no longer creamy as the dish was really hot. I don't think I need to specify that the carbonara cream is very delicate and requires a lot of attention. There was very little pepper, six/seven petals of bacon and little pecorino, so much so that I had to add more. Since in your answer you put forward the hypothesis that I don't go to the supermarket, I tell you: a carbonara costs between 2.5 and 4 euros in raw materials, depending on the quality and who you buy the ingredients from. If I go to a restaurant, where I pay 14 euros, I expect it to be perfect. Especially if I'm in Rome. This was not the case, unfortunately. The artichokes were "tasteless" not only because of the salt but precisely because the raw material lacked flavor. I wasn't the only one who had a negative impression. There were diners who left their plate half done. Who complained about the porcini pasta, which was deemed not very tasty (I can't write the comment literally, as it's too hard). Some ordered mozzarella in carrozza and were not satisfied with it. The Torrina appetizer, excluding the dishes that we added and paid for separately, would not have been satisfactory. I think 26 euros for an appetizer of that type is too much. For the same amount you can eat other types of more elaborate and rewarding dishes or qualitatively and quantitatively better appetizers. The final bill, unfortunately, was not in line with the quality of the dishes and with the idea that the experience left with the majority of us. Claiming that you pay more in a fast food restaurant or elsewhere is not a justification: I could reply that there is no upper limit or that there are places where you pay less or the same and from which you leave fully satisfied. I could add more but I believe that unfortunately it would not have the right effect. Furthermore, from the response he provided, it is clear that he is unwilling to accept criticism and therefore improve. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Dear Lorenzo, thank you first of all for your visit, I am very sorry that we were unable to meet your expectations. Given that personal taste is sovereign and indisputable, I allow myself just a few clarifications. …Dear Lorenzo, thank you first of all for your visit, I am very sorry that we were unable to meet your expectations. Given that personal taste is sovereign and indisputable, I allow myself just a few clarifications. 1) the fried artichokes (for the record you are the first negative review in a year and a half on this dish) we serve it like this, without excess salt, already present in the batter we make every day, leaving our customers the freedom to add flavor…just ask for salt if you liked it tastier! 2) our Torrina appetizer is suggested on the menu for 2 people (therefore 13 euros each) including every good thing. Obviously if 12 of you take 3 it may not be plentiful, I also feel silly pointing this out but anyway 'And. If 4 of you take a tiramisu you will eat 2 spoonfuls each... well! 3) what you ate are spaghettoni since we don't really buy spaghetti, the dish we bring is obviously hot (as I believe in all restaurants in the world), if while you eat you chat and wait it could happen that the carbonara is not as good as if eaten immediately. For cooking, all you had to do was let us know and we would make it again for you, it would have been simpler. 4) 12 of you spent 38 euros each on starters, first or second courses, desserts, plenty of wine, coffee and bitters. The other day my 14 year old son spent 17 euros in a take away bag at a very famous fast food restaurant. Evidently you go to the supermarket very few times. You won't come back.. and we, with regret, will still try to make up for it.. Good day FedericoMore
