I tried the 5-course tasting menu and absolutely loved it! The service here is unmatched. I was served by Katie, and I couldn’t be happier with her service. She was so patient in helping me choose the dishes, everything was served on time, and she made the whole experience so enjoyable. You were really amazing, Katie — thank you! I’ll definitely be back. I visited Flaming Sushi with high expectations after seeing it all over social media. While the food—especially the salmon tataki and Godzilla Roll—was flavorful and well-presented, the overall experience was underwhelming due to service and inflexible policies. A major issue was their strict rule that everyone at the table must order the tasting menu, which created a problem for a friend with a dairy intolerance. She wasn’t allowed to opt out, and the only substitution offered for the dessert course was a plate of fruit—not exactly a fair swap. Service throughout the evening felt disorganized. We were missing basic items like soy sauce saucers, dishes came out at noticeably different times, and a miso soup we ordered was initially forgotten. When we reminded our server, she admitted it hadn’t been entered and gave it to us on the house, which was a kind gesture. In the end, the quality of the food helped salvage the evening, but the experience didn’t live up to the online hype. I’ve been to Flame Sushi three times this year to try their seasonal tasting menu in winter, spring, and summer. The tasting menu goes for $50 with $100 value, so it’s a very good deal for a fun and delicious 5-course meal. There’s plenty of variety on the menu and since it’s seasonal they change the options and keep things fresh. A drink is included with the meal with both alcoholic and nonalcoholic options. The service is also consistently good, with servers being quite nice and attentive. Highly recommend Flame Sushi and their tasting menu for anyone looking to try something new and have a nice 5-course meal without blowing their budget.
