Nous sommes arrivés un dimanche matin avec un bébé 6 mois. La serveuse nous a à peine occupé et elle a dit c’est sur réservation? J’ai dis non nous sommes 2. Elle voulait nous mettre au Soleil avec un bébé après que je répète 2 fois. J’attends, elle nous met sur le côté de la vitre avec une table random. On attends 10-15-20min, personne vient. Je leur fais signe au cas bébé se réveille svp est-ce qu’on peut être servi svp? L’autre serveuse vient car la 1ere nous a ignoré. Elle prends la commande merci. Les tables se vident en dedans et personne nous offre de rentrer avec un bébé puisque c’est Réservation. On reste, on prend nos boissons. Nous n’avons pas reçu nos commandes, je trouve cela très régulier se service. Tous monde est servi et on a pas encore 3 oeufs, patates, salades et croissant. Le croissant et le croque madame étaient bien. Le monsieur et la serveuse cheveux court sont venus mais celle en rose nous a bien ignoré. Dommage mais je ne reviens pas. Positif : Un délicieux pain perdu, les œufs benedictes et saumon l’étaient également ! Sympa la petite terrasse durant l’été ! Les serveurs étaient sympathiques ! Conseil: réservez votre table avant de vous y rendre ! Négatif : On a attendu près de 40 minutes pour nos 2 assiettes. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $20–30

After two big snowstorms in one week here in Montreal, I decided to brave the snowy roads and make my way to Fanfare Brunch Boulangerie for a much-needed brunch with a friend and some quiet time to get work done. I’m so glad I did—this place turned out to be the perfect cozy refuge from the cold, offering a welcoming atmosphere and delicious comfort food that hit the spot. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and full of friendly energy. It felt like stepping into a cozy retreat, where the chill from outside melts away as soon as you walk in. The music was upbeat yet soothing, creating an ideal background for a laid-back brunch. It was the perfect place to unwind, enjoy a good meal, and escape the wintery weather. Coffee: I kicked things off with a cappuccino, which was the perfect antidote to the snowy roads. The coffee was flawlessly brewed—smooth espresso with just the right amount of froth, providing the perfect boost to start the day. It set the tone for the meal ahead and got me feeling energized. CLASSIQUE DÉJEUNER (18.50): For my main dish, I went with the “Classique Déjeuner,” and it truly delivered. The Toulouse sausage was rich and flavorful, seasoned to perfection. The bacon was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—just how I like it. The sunny-side-up eggs were cooked perfectly, with yolks that were perfectly runny and ideal for dipping into. The roasted potatoes were light and crisp, and the mini salad added a nice, fresh contrast to balance out the richness of the other elements. The homemade bread was fresh and soft, a simple but essential touch. This was classic breakfast comfort food at its finest—hearty, satisfying, and exactly what you need to start the day. PUDDING SALÉ (22.00): In the mood for something a little different, I also decided to try the “Pudding Salé.” This savory herb pudding roasted in butter was a unique and flavorful dish. The smoked meat was tender and juicy, and the eggs provided a nice creamy texture. The homemade crème fraîche added a rich element, while the house-pickled vegetables offered a bright, tangy contrast that balanced the richness of the dish beautifully. It was an inventive twist on brunch fare that I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall: I was able to settle into a sunny corner and get some work done while enjoying my meal, which made the whole experience both productive and relaxing. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was just right for catching up with a friend, taking a break, or getting some work done. This brunch was exactly what I needed after the snowy weather—great food, a warm and cozy space, and a chill vibe. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of their menu. If you’re in Montreal, especially after a snowstorm, Fanfare Brunch Boulangerie is a must-visit!
