I have been to this restaurant quite a few times. Tonite I had a schnitzel with mushroom sauce and dumplings. Half way through my meal, I discovered a piece of metal mixed in with the dumplings. I politely went to the kitchen to show the waitress what I had found and I witnessed her who show 'this find' to the owner. He didn't seem to care much nor did he have the decency to come to our table and apologize. His lack of professionalism and disinterest in customer service was further evident in the fact that I was charged full price for my meal - no waiving of the cost of my meal, no discount nor at the very least, a free dessert. To top it all, the food is average... as much as I would like to support independent establishments. Really disappointing and infuriating! I could have made a big scene in the restaurant but chose to be diplomatic and not embarrass the owner. Needless to say, I won't be returning to Europe Bar and Restaurant and for anyone looking for excellent Hungarian food and amazing service, look no further than Country Style Hungarian Kitchen on 450 Bloor Street. You won't look back!
