From the outside, this is the most elegant restaurant in Vyborg. Cassian wooden architecture of northern modernism maintains the atmosphere of Vyborg and suggests the choice of dishes. Considering the difficulty of booking a table in Vyborg on holidays, a visit to Espilya and the comfort provided when it’s -20°C outside is more than a good choice! If nothing in a restaurant disappoints, it's 5. And here the taste of the dishes exceeded expectations. The pinnacle is the sous vide venison - luxurious and perfectly balanced in acidity, sweetness and melt-in-your-mouth tenderness of the meat! For me, visiting Espili is a holiday!! So beautiful, so cozy, and most importantly, so delicious!!! I have never tried such tiramisu anywhere, it is incredible!! I am in love with the creamy salmon soup)) all the dishes are wonderful! Thank you very much to the waiters and cooks!! Espilya is a real gourmet restaurant! Here at the Restaurant Espilä/Espilya, located in the center of the main park of the city of Vyborg/Viipuri, it has a special feeling of grandeur. The Espilä, can look back on a long history and its name is deriving from esplanades, a promenade, where in former times people used to spend there free time, is an expanded pavillion, very elegant, with high ceilings, fancy silver and stylish interior. It has much of a Grand Café with its splendor. The staff is friendly and the prices still reasonable, though they are in the upper segment for Vyborg standards. The atmosphere is nice and the seating comfortable. Since this place was recommended to me by my Finnish friends, I took the Espilä Cake, a nut cake with lots of cream and fruits on its top.
