As soon as you enter De Botanist - Bar & Kitchen, you feel the vibrant energy that makes this place so special. Located in the heart of Breda, this location promises to become even more attractive once the port is fully opened. The modern, botanical interior, enriched with natural and authentic elements, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. With tables that are spaciously laid out, the restaurant offers comfortable seating spread over various cozy areas, including a large bar at the back and low seating areas on the long side with red plush sofas and a fantastic view of the water. The cocktail bar at the entrance, staffed by professional mixologists, invites you to try a creative drink. Our choice from the lunch menu was the Mortadella, subtly served with stracciatella cheese from Puglia, pistachio, and pesto mayo. The combination was not only visually appealing, but also delicious in taste with the right quality and a perfect crunch. We also enjoyed the Surf-Turf-Earth, an original combination of Katsu Sando and smoked pepper mackerel on bread, accompanied by a delicious parsnip soup that was worth a meal in itself. As the afternoon progressed, we noticed that the place was filling up, which makes it clear that De Botanist is a popular hotspot in Breda. The service was friendly and attentive, which only made our experience better. This is highly recommended for anyone who is in Breda and is looking for a place where taste, atmosphere and service go hand in hand.
