Have you ever met a girl who on first blush was all nice and proper and when you finally got to know her, she was not what she seem to be? That's my vibe with the Daily Press Juicery. Now I got to preface by saying that I probably ordered the wrong stuff here. For whatever reason that day after Yelping the place, I thought this place was a cafe and not a juicery. So I went in ordering a coffee and a savoury danish. Neither was particularly outstanding. The vibe of the place was homey with a garden like ambience. Seems like a good place to hang around a bit and decompress after a long week at work, right?  I'd say not so much.  While the place has a down to earth and quaint vibe it isn't very comfortable to sit in. The seating are either bar chairs or mini benches with no backing. The mini benches that hug the wall are staged with cushion but you can't lean on them since behind them are garden trellis with fake vines hanging on them. I'm one of those people who likes to lean on stuff when I sit. And while I was enjoying the quietness of an early Saturday morning, the coworkers started talking. Now there's nothing wrong with the employees talking when they are idle. So you overhear them talking about their relationships and other stuff. I got to admit that I'm one of those nosy people who doesn't mind overhearing other people's gossip. But all of a sudden they go f-this and f-that.... and not in the most quietest manner either. While I'm not so old school where I'm totally offended by other people swearing or I'm here to pretend that I'm a saint who never ever swears, I think there's a basic level of customer service courtesy that a staff working at a juicery that emphasizes on body cleansing and charges $7 for a bottle of juice should recognize. While one's body maybe cleansed by their juice, your mind gets polluted. So I'll be eating my own $0.50 orange, saving $6.50 for something else and watch an R rated movie for my daily dose of swearing instead. It's not very likely that I will return to Daily Press Juicery any time soon.
