I had the most golden memorable ️ experience at the Caribbean Sun Restaurant & Bar @ Steinway & Steeles Ave West, Just off of Highway 27 on Saturday October 19th 2024... It was my birthday milestone and magical momentum to have celebrated with the staff, customers, my party goers, friends and a few family members Everything was beyond expectations and a dream come through... The dining table was well laid out in stylish glamour of a deep blue table cloth with gold stars and fancy accents adorned on it... Also the Venue was quite spacious with an attractive tantalizing menu... I got the opportunity to DJ at my own event selecting a variety of rare reggae, Soca, Dancehall, Cultural music mix I played... The decorating was done with my good friend and event planning assistant Saudia who made this birthday a grand success... She was also my photographer and pt server for the event... Couldn't have done this without her!!! I had greeted all my guests and made sure everyone had dinner which was exquisitely served in the dining hall in all of its magnificence, sparkling... After the Guyanese style Caribbean Cuisines of chicken fried rice, chicken chowmein, and entrees of snacks such as spring rolls, fries and fried chicken were served I moved onto the other part of my special evening event... Continuing to DJ and playing rare rythyms of my cultural background such as: reggae, soca, chutney, dancehall etc with help from a DJ friend that stepped in and his girlfriend, we moved into my song renditions of Maxi Priest, UB40, Boy George, The Satellites and my favorite Stars are Blind by Paris Hilton which I sung the weekend before receiving my social justice award for Ontario Canada for pushing my late father's case in Guyana... With all its splendor, colors, food galore and people socializing most persons stopped to their best behavior and listened to my speech I gave for my birthday about my life growing up in Ontario Mississauga and how our parents always celebrated our birthdays at school and home to the fullest as we see that as a remarkable occasion that should be celebrated once a year!!! Also mentioned Sunsplash Resort 63 beach my late father's pioneered establishment, going to UG, running for office and my voluntary charity work my family and I are involved in... I was surprised to my happiness that the entire restaurant staff and customers came down to join me in my spectacular extravagance, dress beauty, crown and all spreading the confetti my late father left me as a blessing around the cake... I cut it with a guy I met there that night & a long lost relative and shared it with all my guests who attended my wonderful moment in my lifetime... I felt like I owned the night and was happy that the proprietor Miss Shaleeza made me feel comfortable of running my show and checked on me if I needed anything etc... I am truly satisfied that my party went excellent and couldn't have been better... To the proprietor of this beautiful establishment Miss Shaleeza I thank you for making my night an unforgettable spotlight in my life and appreciate and acknowledge everything your husband and daughter did alongside to make this event a grand success!!! God bless you and let's learn to come out and support small businesses especially family owned which reminds me of our family when we had our resort... The lights and soundsystem were top of the line and glad you allowed me to lead my own show... Shaleeza is a businesswoman, wife and mother and we should learn to love one another as I mentioned in my speech and support our fellow females in business or whatever dreams they wish to pursue... I'm so glad that she took my event last minute after a woman who owns a ghetto bar around Kipling & Rexdale area cancelled on me, threw my deposit at me, pushed me out of her place, assaulted me because she couldn't prepare food nor accomodate for my guests of class and good culture! Some women just envy other women and don't want them happy... Cheers to Shaleeza for saving the day! One Love Ebony Vegetarian options: Spring rolls, fries, veggie chowmein and fried rice were all good options for vegetarians or people who just wanted Veggie Food Parking: Numerous amounts of parking is available surrounding the venue and even across the street or behind as it's available for customers all around... Kid-friendliness: This establishment is Kid-Friendly as I met a few kids there at my party and was delighted to give them some cake and candy and for them to join in... I heard about this restaurant from a friend about how the food is good . For my first (and last ) time I ordered Roti and dhal puri , sorry to say it was a big disappointment and an embarrassment when I opened it to have dinner with a few friends . Both the roti and puri looked under cooked and was like cardboard . The stars for this place automatically rate itself , I will give it a minus
