Café de Rome was the most special place we spent in a month of travel (April 2024) because it was there that we ate Iftar for the first time, which is the meal to break the fast of Ramadan. We were lost and hungry, staying at the Ibis, close to the cafe and we passed by Café de Rome and asked if we could eat, the waiter who didn't speak very good English welcomed us with such generosity that we stayed and followed the movement of customers around us. , respecting the times allowed for the start of food, as well as the sequence of dishes. This initiation was very important for us to lose our fear of mixing with locals in other restaurants in Morocco for Iftar and learn more about this rich culture and with such deep meanings about its beliefs. If you are in Casablanca during Ramadan, be sure to go to Café de Rome for Iftar and enjoy an experience that will make you get to know Moroccans in a very different way.
