Brunch not worth it! Terrible service and the wrong bill!We had brunch here on the 16.09.2018. The booking was initially made for 8 people but changed to 6 a few days prior the event. FOOD: The choice of food was very broad, however, there were no official food labels to what some dishes actually were and what ingredients they contained. While some were pretty obvious, others weren't at all. Not even an allergy info was given. After confronting someone from the personnel, I was told that the reason for the lack of labels was "because cooks are free to cook what they want", in my opinion this is not a valid reason for a lack of food labels. Anyway, apart from the vast choice of food, the quality was rather mediocre, the only memorable thing I had was the roast beef with Béarnaise sauce.ATMOSPHERE: The hotel itself is beautiful. The brunch guests however, were seated in the garden area. While the surroundings were nice, the whole area lacked charm and looked more like a very overcrowded, average outdoor seating space. One had to queue up to get food from the grill and the staff was rather neglective. SERVICE: This leads me to the worst experience of this visit. Since our party of 6 didn't order any alcoholic drinks, we received rather little attention from the staff who was running around in a chaotic manner. When we finally requested the bill, it took 5 additional requests before it arrived. Stressed to leave, we didn't check the bill properly as we trusted that it was correct (and why would you not in a 5 star hotel restaurant?). However, later that day we realized that despite being 6 people, we were charged for 7. We contacted the restaurant immediately and were told that the money will be reimbursed as soon as possible. Yet, the next day we received an email saying that 2 waiters can confirm that there were 7 people seated at our table. I must say, for 130+ Swiss francs per head this is outrageous and we will fight this matter legally if necessary.If you want to have a special brunch experience, I can highly recommend the Drei König restaurant in Basel. Same price category, outstanding service and memorable food.

Russian below: delicious pizza! A great dessert buffet, highly recommend.Отличная пицца - здесь не жалеют мяса! И правда потрясающий десертный буфет, но - чай по 10 франков, ох)) Возьмите лучше выпить )))

Awful experience, the service was excellent but the food that was served was mediocre at best, it cost 330 chf for two diners (with half botlle of red wine).
