I’ve always enjoyed eating here, and the food has always been great. My only negative is that the kids fried chicken was spicy and my son couldn’t eat it. I tried it as well and also found it to be too spicy for me even, and I can handle a bit of spice on my food. So not sure if it was a one off, or if they actually think kids enjoy spicy food??? But I’ll never order that again. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Have been to Beertown (uptown Waterloo) several times and the experience has always been good, but recently had an exceptional experience. Went for dinner and drinks with my husband on Sunday night and I ordered the Beerville hot chicken sandwich. The sauce they put on the chicken is really hot! (Coming from a brown person with a high tolerance for hot, trust me when I say it was hot, it WAS hot!) Sandwich tasted great, but it felt like more bread than meat in my mouth. I just mentioned it to our server Joe as casual feedback in case he wanted to pass it on to the kitchen, but was pleasantly surprised when a short while later the manager came to our table to tell us he had an extra chicken patty in the fryer for me cause he had got our feedback from our server! We were very appreciative of the fact Joe actually took our feedback to the kitchen/manager and the manager (unfortunately unable to recall his name) valued it enough to make it better for us! Absolutely top-notch service all around! Thank you, Beertown Public House Waterloo! You guys are amazing! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Parking space: Plenty of parking
