A little on the dated side being built in 2010 now 16 years ago, but still an impressive an elegant resort. We were pleasantly surprised by how excellent the food has been over Christmas and just how authentic and fun Gerni’s lodge is! Super cool addition to the resort. Our biggest want is a proper cold plunge, it’s hard to do a proper spa circuit without one, the showers were okay, but a cold pool would be way better! Overall there’s nothing quite like it in all of Canada and a great experience every time we come here.

I am a frequent guest at Sparkling Hill Resort, and recently I’ve noticed a real improvement in their service. It’s clear they’ve hired wonderful new staff, and the way they interact with guests has become exceptional. One day, I came for a haircut and then visited Java Café. The girl serving me immediately stood out — she always smiled, stayed happy, and made an effort to understand and care for every guest. At first, I thought she was giving me extra attention, but I soon saw she treated everyone with the same kindness, including her coworkers. The joy and teamwork she brought were truly inspiring. The following week, I visited with my daughter for a spa day. Our spa attendant was outstanding, and we decided to eat at Java Café again. To my delight, the same amazing girl (and another staff member with a turban was also amazing) was serving. Even on Christmas Day at breakfast, she was there, patiently guiding guests, explaining wait times, and supporting her team. My family loved how she made every guest feel valued, even taking time to brighten the day of a lonely elderly gentleman — her motivation and care were remarkable. yeah it took us like 10-15 mins to get a table. I also loved her attention to small details — from elegant wine pouring to creative, photogenic drinks that everyone loves to post about. Her personalized service and positivity truly make the experience special. All the staff I’ve encountered are professional and hardworking, but this team members and the gentleman with the turban both stand out as stars and deserve appreciation. I’m not sure of her name — possibly Kirti, Emily, or Victoria — but whoever you are, your energy, warmth, and dedication make every visit memorable. The only concern is that the staff seem to work under a lot of pressure, and management could do more to support them. As talking to guests we got to know they are always short staffed.

Super underrated resort in BC. The location is like a quiet post card. The saunas and pools are phenomenal. The rooms are very nice. The complementary breakfast was top notch. Absolutely recommend it to friends and family. Few things need improvement: rooms need some sort of screen, we got mosquito bites on our first night of stay. Also, the restaurant can be better for the price point and level of hotel for dinner.
