I usually don’t write negative reviews, but I feel this needs to be addressed. I have been a loyal customer of BánhMì SUB, visiting at least a dozen times. Their subs are among the best in Calgary in terms of variety and flavor, and I also appreciate their convenient hours. However, on two separate occasions this past week, I arrived well before their posted closing time of 7 PM (about 8 minutes prior) only to find that they had already closed. Their Google listing and door signage both indicate a 7 PM closing time, yet the OPEN sign was off, and the door was locked. The pod lights were still on, but due to the tinted windows, it was hard to see inside. If there was an unexpected reason for closing early, a simple notice on the door would have helped clarify the situation. It’s disappointing to drive over expecting to grab a sub, only to be turned away before closing time. I hope the owner ensures this doesn’t continue, as it affects customer trust and reliability. I still love their food, but consistency in business hours is important—I’d love to continue supporting them without the worry of wasted trips. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
