Si vous aimez manger libanais, c'est une bonne adresse. On est bien conseillé, l'endroit est beau, c'est bon. I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Balila inside hotel Longemalle in downtown Geneva, Switzerland. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the hotel and the dining room is nicely decorated, with a pleasant atmosphere. When we arrived, the service initially appeared friendly. We only planned to have a hot drink and a small bite. We ordered a traditional hummus. As I have a peanut allergy, I explicitly asked about the ingredients before eating. I was told it contained chickpeas and pistachio. Unfortunately, after eating it, I experienced an allergic reaction, which clearly indicates that peanuts were present, despite not being mentioned. I informed the staff immediately. Fortunately, I had antihistamine medication with me, which allowed me to control the reaction quickly. However, I was disappointed by the lack of empathy and concern shown by the service. No real attention was paid to my well-being, and no commercial gesture was offered. This is the main reason for the low rating. The hummus itself was actually quite good, and the setting is very nice, but food allergies are a serious matter, and this situation was not handled appropriately.
