A couple of years ago, we had the most amazing Chocolate Raspberry Tart from The Apricot Tree Cafe. The dark chocolate was rich and flavourful. The base was thin and complemented the filling perfectly. Everyone raved about it and asked to have it again this year. To our disappointment, the tart is very different: it no longer has the rich, dark chocolate taste, and the filling is very thin, while the shortbread base is thick and hard. Perhaps the chocolate quality has changed. They offered a "Happy Birthday" on the cake, and when I picked it up, they had placed a broken candy disc that looked like a child had written on. I understand they have a new baker; hopefully, they can find their way back to the original recipe and ingredients. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Other Price per person: $60–70
