Positive first:the staff were friendly and helpful. However, for 50 euro for the night, my friend and I were quite disappointed. The breakfast we paid for was a collection of bland sweets wrapped in cellophane like you would find in a budget supermarket and a watery cappuccino. My friend asked for cornflakes with milk, being diabetic, and they could not provide this, though they found her some yoghurt. My room was clean, generally, though I discovered a lot of hair attached to the bathroom sink plug, which shows a less than careful attitude to cleaning. There was no separate soap for the shower, I had to use the handwash soap. No shampoo either. My friend's key was "tricky" : the manager showed her how she could lock her door the morning of check out, but really should have showed her the night before. Overall, they seemed unprepared for our arrival even though we booked ahead, and we feel we paid a hotel price for a "hostel level" service. I hope they will improve, because they are in a great location and Tricase is a beautiful and charming town.
