We came as a group of 10 for a holiday brunch. Right when we sat down, they told us that for groups of 8 or more, they don’t split checks or allow split payments. They also mentioned that gratuity would be added automatically, but they didn’t tell us the amount and we didn’t think to ask. That part’s on us. In hindsight, the way it played out feels unfair. Since we were forced into one bill, the usual justification for a group gratuity, such as extra admin work, splitting multiple bills, or extra coordination, didn’t apply. Yet we were still charged 20 percent, which we only discovered at the end. On top of that, the itemized bill wasn’t very itemized. Grouped coffees and other items meant we still had to do the math ourselves. Food and ambiance were great, but the lack of clear communication and the forced 20 percent gratuity on a single bill left a sour taste. It is not an experience we would repeat. Had an amazing time celebrating my birthday at The Good Fork! They handled our large party with ease. The dinner menu is just as delicious as the brunch—so pleased!
