I think this is the best restaurant review I've ever written. This restaurant actually deserves only the best rating. The Ristorante da Nino in Piazza Armerina is a true gem for gourmets and connoisseurs. As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The ambience has traditional Sicilian charm, which immediately puts you in the holiday mood. The attentive observer and insider should not miss where this restaurant has its origins. There was once a settlement called Borga Baccarato, created for Sicilian agricultural workers, now completely abandoned and left to decay. The cuisine of these Sicilian farm workers forms the basis of the dishes, which have certainly been refined and expanded over the years. The antipasti at Ristorante da Nino are a feast for the senses. Fresh, local ingredients are arranged into artful starters that not only impress visually but also taste great. Particularly noteworthy is the Zizzona with truffle mortadella. The meat dishes are another highlight of the menu. The Costata Vitello Locale is prepared on the grill and the juicy lamb chop leaves nothing to be desired. Each type of meat is prepared to perfection and accompanied by delicious side dishes that round off the taste experience. A special highlight are the pizzas, which are baked in a wood-fired oven. The crispy, fluffy dough and the fresh, high-quality ingredients make every pizza a real pleasure. Whether classic Margherita or unusual creations – everyone will find their favorite here. An absolute must are the pasta dishes with the famous pistachios from Bronte, which are among the best pistachios in the world. The combination of pasta and the fine, slightly nutty cream and pistachio sauce is a poem. These dishes combine traditional Sicilian cuisine with innovative flavors to create an unforgettable culinary experience. The whole thing is rounded off by excellent dolce, particularly notable are the casatelle with a sweet cream cheese filling that can only be found in Sicily. Not to be forgotten is the attentive and warm staff. Every visit to Ristorante da Nino becomes a special experience thanks to the excellent service. The staff are always friendly, professional and respond to individual requests, which makes the stay particularly pleasant. Ristorante da Nino is not just a place to eat, but a place to enjoy and linger. If you want to experience excellent Sicilian cuisine in a wonderful ambience, this is the right place for you.
