My first bubble tea! What can I say: interesting as flavoured teas go.
I went for the rooibos option with blueberry flavour and cherry bubbles!
It was delicious, a bit on the sweet side but that could be down to the flavours that I chose. There were a lot of little bubbles leftover after the tea which is you have to fish our with your massive straw, but that just adds to the fun.
Either way, a nice treat and something different rolled into one.
Came here for a quick coffee after a movie. I don't know eastgate well but it does seem that there is a dearth of places to grab a coffee. Happy Me is chain I've had good experiences with in the past. The first two items my friend and I asked for after much deliberation they were unable to make because of lack of ingredients. They had run out of cream. In a shopping centre. During the day on a Wednesday. Very disappointing. Still the desire for coffee needed to be satisfied so I ordered a latte and it was ok. Nothing special although the the packaging was nice. The staff were friendly but probably should've warned us before we settled on choices. Maybe they were out of nearly everything so opted to keep quiet. If you need a coffee, this place isn't the worst but if you can go somewhere else, do so.
