I had THE BEST time here! So much fun, the hot pot was amazing, as was the service and the overall atmosphere! The manager Steve and the rest of the staff made it a night to remember for my friends and I. Would highly recommend! Also very economical.

I love going to this hotpot place because of their skewers. It's easy to only order what you want so you're not forced to have an entire plate of something if you only want a little bit. Their sauce bar was clean and the ingredients seemed fresh, which isn't always the case. Servers refilled the broth fairly regularly and they were quick to take away any finished dishes. It's a bit hot in Aberdeen in general and this restaurant wasn't much better. I recommend going in the cooler months if you don't want to overheat, especially if you're unlucky and the hotpot's steam is blowing towards your seat.

There's no shortage of hotpot restaurants in Vancouver, but Yuan's Chuan Chuan Xiang hot pot stands out because the food comes out in bamboo skewers You can make your own dipping sauce but they suggest sesame oil, garlic, green onion and cilantro. I'm not a fan of cilantro so I skipped that. The sesame oil comes in a small can which is really cute. I ended up taking a can home A must order item is the deep fried pork crisps. It has a nice crispy outside while the chicken is tender and juicy. I would also dip the pork crisp in the hot pot. I suggest you to not order the spinach because it really is a few spinach leaves skewered. You will laugh if you see it. Skewered-style hot pot has its advantages because you don't need to go searching for the items. The spicy soup base is premade and comes in a packet that they pour your hot pot. Let that boil a bit before you start eating.
