Came to Yokai Izakaya for drinks with some friends and tried a bunch of bites to share—the cocktails were amazing! The service was very attentive, and you can tell the employees genuinely enjoy working there and collaborate well as a team. The manager was also attentive and went out of their way to accommodate my friend’s birthday. I’ll definitely be back soon! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Came by myself today … seems busy, no one came to take my order or give me water or any interaction for more than 10 min since I first sit down as if I don’t exist at all… Ah well, not a good day so I left as I only have an hour or so for dinner … I even wonder if they even notice I left… lol —- The place looks very new and have the Izakaya feel for sure! Today we went, there is a DJ there doing music and I really enjoyed the music being played there tonight. I wonder if there is a DJ every night or every Friday night since we go on a Friday night this time or random, not sure… but I really enjoyed the night there. We tried the signature dish as marked from the menu and they are all pretty good except for the wings. It’s not bad but abit dry but still ok. The rest are excellent ! The 48 hrs short ribs, it is best to eat the beef alone with sauce first and then eat the pickled mushroom/radish string (?) after as recommended. And I do agree as it clean a your pallets and ready for the next piece. The risotto is yummy as well! We also ordered a glass of “Clear Moon” sake and lucky for us, turns out this sake goes soooooo well with the short ribs and risotto. I am sure I will visit this place again! Must try dish in my opinion: 48 hrs short ribs, Risotto, and the yogurt panna cotta dessert! This dessert is light and citrusy! I prefer this over the chocolate bananas cake. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–60
