An industrial neighbourhood close to downtown Victoria offers a unique place for beverages and simple meals. Sandwiches are truly excellent. Closed Mondays, Wheelies is open 11 am to 5 pm, except on Fridays when closing time is 9 pm. Saturday and Sunday the restaurant offers a brunch menu not available on other days. Lots of interesting decorations and a small clothing shop with shirts, hats and other items. Outside seating is available. We had breakfast at the Empress Hotel that day. Lunch at Wheelies was better. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Today I went to Wheelies for the third time. I went with my wife and daughter. My daughter had the pulled pork sandwich and my wife and I shared the Brisket sandwich. The pork was fantastic but the brisket was mostly inedible. The beef was about 75% gristle. We tried to get through it but had to spit most of it out. The bun and condiments were great but for the $ I expected the brisket to be something edible and enjoyable. My wife asked me to take it up to the kitchen staff and explain so I did. The gentleman there picked up a piece of the meat and said sorry. That's all.... We left. As much as I enjoyed my previous meals, I will have a tough time returning. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
