Profitez de Burnaby Public Library et venez manger dans Whatever Tea. C'est vraiment une bonne idée de goûter un taro délicieux. Un thé au lait immense vous attend dans ce lieu.

We came by and they happened to have a promotion where it was buy 1 get 1 50% off for their "Create your Whatever Drink" menu. You choose a base, add a flavour and then add toppings. You can also choose to get it in their special can. I got a Jasmine green milk tea with peach flavour and pearls. The pearls were ok, good texture. The peach flavour was super artificial though and it just tasted weird. It would've been been if I had not added any flavours. The other drink was a Jasmine green milk tea with strawberry flavour and green apple bubbles (the popping kind). This drink also tasted artificial. Maybe we just picked weird drinks? Probably wouldn't come back though since there are so many better bubble tea options in the area.

Whatever Tea is a bubble tea shop that focuses on creative flavours and unique drinks. Whatever Tea is located along Kingsway just outside of Crystal Mall. The cafe isn't very big on the inside but they have a little big of seating by the front door. They also have a large chalk board for people to write on to add to the community aspect of the tea shop. Whatever tea bar is known for their pop can style drink containers. You're able to grab this unique pop can style bottle with your drink in it for an added $1.50 each. I believe you can open the can similar to any pop can by popping the top. I thought this was such a unique container to have to carry drinks! The taro milk tea from Whatever tea is made with taro powder to create a lovely purple colour. The taro flavour wasn't very strong and the drink was not very sweet either. There were floral and earthy notes throughout the drink from the taro. The sago on the bottom matched the drink well. The peach oolong tea had sweet notes to the background to help balance the robust flavours with smoky notes of the oolong tea. I've never had yogurt foam before so I was excited to try it out. The yogurt foam tasted like vanilla yogurt but with a foamy texture. I didn't think it was anything special and prefer the cream cheese foam they have at other places. I do appreciate that it is a healthy alternative though.

NEW CHRISTMAS DRINKS. * Whatevertea has new Christmas drinks this year and not to mention super cute flavourful macarons! * 6 flavours macarons for the festive Christmas. Very berry, milk tea, yogurt from, grapefruit and lemon, matcha and vanilla. They were too sweet despite their appearance, and the filling was creamy and very chewy. The matcha one is super delicious! * S'mores ~ nice chocolate blend. Not too sweet which is good. Chocolate pearls are yummy nice but wish it was chewier. It's more liquid like than expected. The graham cracker in it was prominent. Wish it had more chocolate taste in it. * Santa ~ this was super delicious, on the sweeter side but perfect for my sweet tooth. Very nice fragrant of strawberry. Strawberry poppers are such a nice surprise tastes so delicious and good! Love the taste! Also like the strawberry bits on the bottom! * The homemade eggnog ~ this one is available while quantities last, and I got to admit. It's very rich and smooth eggnog! The chocolate pearls with it is very good this round of chocolate pearls were smooth and chewy! Very rich and creamy! Can't think of another holiday drink. * Thank you @whatevertea2019 for having us try your goodies . * 8/10 ~ these Christmas drinks were pretty decent. I for one really enjoyed the eggnog drink and thought it tasted very good. Available now-Jan 3
