Very good wine shop, which also has a small but fine selection of gin and whiskey. The knowledgeable staff is helpful and very friendly. It should be emphasized that they sell whiskey from a regional distillery and not the commercially available varieties. Thank you again for the tasting and advice.

You have a menu in your head and you stand in front of the wine rack and ask yourself which wine would go with it? A wine and food tasting at Wein-Moment Ludwigsburg could help. This is how it was for us: The table is set in the sales room. It's not particularly comfortable, but you can walk around every now and then and admire the displays. Unfortunately, couples are seated at tables for two. It would be nicer to have a large board so that you could share your experiences with the neighbors on the left and right. When the 25 or so people are seated, things get going quickly. There is a card on the table with the menu and wine accompaniment. The wines are briefly described here, unfortunately without specifying the vintage, alcohol content or price. The food comes from the caterer. The individual courses taste ok, not a big kitchen but well seasoned. The wines are delicious and expertly selected so that they harmonize well with the courses. It is poured generously and the glass is not even changed for the dessert wine. Unfortunately, the explanation of the associated wines is very short. You hardly learn anything about the actual topic of which wine goes with which food. What do you drink red or white wine with? What wine styles are there and which one goes well with, for example, meat, fish, vegetables, Asian, oriental, home-style, etc.? Given the large number of grape varieties, this would only be a rough guide, but unfortunately this is also missing. On the other hand, you don't get the impression that all the guests are listening intently to the explanations. Some continue to chat, unimpressed. Conclusion: The evening was ok. But if I go to a good restaurant with my wife and order a surprise menu with wine pairing, I get more for my money. And, provided the waitress knows a little about it, explanations about the wine.
