This is by far the best reason to visit Owen sound. The cuisine is unreal, some of the best food I have eaten. Gone here 2 years in a row and had a spectacular meal both times. Will make the trip out again solely for this place.

My husband and I had dinner at Villa Nina Bistro on Thursday night and what a hidden gem this little restaurant is right in the core of Owen Sound. We had seen it before and always said we should go there sometime but never did. Then last week I was on FaceBook and someone posted a very negative and silly post in I Don't Know if This is the Right Place for this ... Owen Sound, and the replies surprised me. Many, many people came to the defence of Villa Nina Bistro to say that it was one of the best places to eat homemade food in Owen Sound and how positive their dining experiences had been there. Well we too had a great dining experience ... excellent escargots, filet mignon wrapped in bacon done perfectly to my specification, the special of the day stuffed chicken breast was savoured by my husband and he ate it fairly fast as he loved it. Our server went over and above to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They also have a good wine list. The Chef was very personable and sure knew what he was doing ... Thank you Villa Nina Bistro for the great food and the wonderful service. Linda & David Hay
