We walked here from a nearby country inn. It’s a beautiful setting. They open at 8. We shared an amazing pizza. It’s pizza to be shared as it’s large. The service staff was ehhhhh. Maybe they are just too busy? Oh well, it was a very good meal. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Terrible experience. Arrogant owner. Poor service. First course after the meat. For having two well-cooked steaks we received insults from the owner because we didn't understand anything. Ordered "mixed salad" as a side dish, after half an hour of finishing the meat, they brought the escarole and after refusing it the owner took it around the tables mocking us for not being able to distinguish escarole from salad. He's ignorant! At the end of the story a very high bill summarized with a receipt issued at our insistence and summary without detail, without giving us the opportunity to check what we paid. EVENING TO FORGET! During our stay in Umbria my boyfriend and I decided to choose Villa Iva for our dinner. I underline that we were there during the week and not on the weekend (perhaps busier days). As soon as we entered the owner said a "good evening", we called the boy (waiter) back to take a seat, who was very kind in letting us sit in a more private place and away from the din of the tables at the entrance. Unfortunately from here onwards, exactly 20 minutes have passed since our arrival and perhaps even more during which we were not brought a bottle of water, but only a menu, two plates and paper tablecloths. I'm sorry, but we got up from the table and decided to change the location for dinner. Catering means organization, hospitality and kindness. An evening to forget that left a bad taste in our mouths!
