The sandwich shop is historic in Terni, one of the first but I believe the first ever, it was opened about 45/50 years ago, I and many Terni residents remember it well. The sandwiches are excellent because they are completely original and different from any others I've tried in the city. In fact, I had the opportunity to speak to the owner who has been running it for 45 years, it was founded by his mother, Vilma, and he told me that they have been using the same bread ever since, supplied by the same bakery as always which is located outside Terni and therefore supplies it exclusively only to them here in the city. In fact, I've always recognized this bread and honestly, as I said, I haven't found it in any other sandwich shop in town so far; in my opinion it is very tasty because it remains crunchy and of the right consistency on the outside, crumbly like a biscuit, but soft on the inside, marrying very well with the ingredients but without giving up; furthermore it remains very light so it doesn't bloat (I would have eaten several others to be honest). The ingredients are fresh, plentiful and of high quality, in fact the sandwiches digest very well (see above). They have a great variety which also comes from the experience of many decades, there are both sandwiches and burgers, now they have also included pinsas. The french fries served are well cooked and the frying oil is always fresh, never "tired". The desserts are very good, also because many are made by the owner. I must say that the prices are also a little lower than the competition, including the large chains, however compared to the quality they are much lower, you just need to eat one and anyone says that there is no comparison with those of the large chains (I have heard many say so). The environment and management are familiar, so there is availability and adaptability in the service and proposals. Unfortunately, due to hunger, I forgot to take photos and therefore I cannot publish them. I am a regular customer precisely for the reasons I have said and I would like to recommend it without fear of making a bad impression. I want to give honest reviews because just as I look for them to be honest and detailed, I believe they will be useful to others too. The Paninoteca opens only for dinner, but is also open for lunch upon reservation for special occasions. It also provides takeaway service. Parking: There is plenty of free parking in the square and in the surrounding streets, the area is very quiet especially in the evening when the place is open. Kid-friendliness: Certainly the place, although not very large, is very suitable for children Wheelchair accessibility: The place is accessible to disabled people even in wheelchairs because it is located on the ground floor and has no barriers.
