Kolumba est un excellent complément à l'expérience de ce restaurant. D'après les commentaires des clients, la cuisine cuisine italienne est plutôt bonne. Rien n'est mieux que d'essayer un spaghetti fascinant. Essayez un tiramisu délectable. Selon les opinions des visiteurs, les serveurs proposent un vin bon ici. Les clients n'aiment pas prendre un café à Restaurant Veltri.

My husband and I visited this restaurant in June 2024, during the Euro 2024. With a game happening in town that evening, all restaurants were packed. We found Veltri Gastronomia by accident, but weren’t prepared for the xenophobic treatment and ethnic profiling we were about to receive. I am writing the details, for the restaurant owner’s benefit, and for whoever is interested and has the patience to read. I do intend to report this to the appropriate authorities in Koln.

We needed to eat before going to the game, so we were happy to find a place with available seating. First off, we were given a menu with all items crossed out as unavailable (early evening, on a Saturday!) except the most expensive ones. We didn’t give it a second thought, ordered, ate – the food was OK, nothing to write home about, especially for the price. Asking to pay, the waiter tells us they only accept cash. We didn’t have enough cash, as we were leaving the country the next day, to which the waiter suggested we walk to an ATM. We asked why we weren’t told at the beginning – given the prices on the menu (30 euros for one entrée), it’s very unlikely people walk around with that amount of cash on them (for reference, you can buy ice cream from a convenience store with a credit card). We offered US dollars for payment, which is when the owner came out exclaiming “Are you American? You don’t look American!”. He then mumbled something about the menu being from the previous day as being the reason for not stating that cash was the only form of payment, then said he would accept payment with what we had left in Euros, and the rest in US dollars.

This was an extremely unpleasant experience, would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
