Although cocktails are not my usual drink (whiskey or red to be more often), I had visited some of the World's Best 50 Bars in cities like Hong Kong and London. I would say that Veður surprised and truly amazed me, surpassing some of those top-tier establishments. I was shocked that the google rating isn't higher, given the exceptionally fine quality and creativity of their drinks. I have 6 tries, all impressive. Brown Butter Old Fashioned: This was the standout for me. It instantly reminded me of Finn Thomson whisky, delivering complex notes of butter, honey, and orange peel. Unlike a strong whiskey that can sometimes be overwhelmed by wood and alcohol, this cocktail was extremely smooth, perfectly balanced. Lavender Mermaid: My wife absolutely loved this one. It had a sharp, enjoyable sour candy profile on the palate, followed by a refreshing cucumber finish and a subtle hint of lavender. The owner, who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He personally served us, introduced the concept behind the drinks, and provided excellent recommendations. We were even tried some outstanding off-menu explorations. I will definitely make it a point to visit again on my next trip to Iceland. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: kr 2,000–4,000
