I will NEVER be going to this restaurant again, EVER. My sister-in-law, my nephew, and I went to Ups N' Downs to enjoy a light meal and be social. My nephew, who is three years old, accidentally pulled the fire alarm, not knowing what it was, so quickly that we didn't see this happen until it was too late. I immediately ran to the bar to let the servers know that it was a false alarm and that my nephew mistakenly pulled the alarm. One of the servers was kind enough to say it's ok and was very nice about it, so we continued on with our meal. Later during our experience, the owner, John, came to our table to tell us that he now had to pay $150 for the false alarm and had to get this fixed. We CONTINUOUSLY apologized for this, to which he told my sister-in-law "control your child". I have NEVER had an experience like this anywhere I have dined, let alone a restaurant I have been to many, many times. On top of this, we had horrible service. I've never been so disrespected in a restaurant until this day. It was a sincere mistake which happens in many places by children I am sure on a daily basis. When you get your fire alarm fixed, put a cover over it to avoid telling other families to "control your child". I will be spreading the word every time someone brings up this establishment's name on the treatment we received. As I mentioned before, I will NEVER be going to this restaurant again.
