If you like a thin and crispy crust and not so heavy on the toppings then this would be your spot. Did a 6 pizza order for a work function and everyone was very satisfied with all the different flavors and crunchy crust. Sure we will be back again later for more. Thanks Tuscany. (I think the secret is in the magic old school brick oven they use.) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My partner and I had an amazing day in Bowen Island, until we came to Tuscany Restaurant. I had booked a reservation for the patio at 6:15 on August 25th, and I had booked our table several days in advance. Upon arriving at the restaurant, the host instead led us inside to a tiny, crowded, very loud table right beside the kitchen. I politely told them that I had booked a table outside, and they told us that we couldn’t sit outside because of the weather; HOWEVER, there were 10 other tables of people sitting outside, and it was 21 degrees and very sunny outside! I then asked why 10 other tables of people were sitting outside, but we couldn’t, even though I had specifically booked a reservation for the patio. They responded to my question with: “I don’t know what to tell you. Our host is new, and the owner isn’t here.” I am very deeply disappointed at the service received from this establishment. All visitors should avoid this restaurant. EDIT: In response to the owner’s response - Thank you for acknowledging our disappointing experience and for the sincere apology. I suppose I forgot to mention in my earlier review that there were still approximately 6-8 other free tables outside upon our arrival, and we asked why we could not sit at one of the available tables outside when I specifically booked a reservation for outside, and they said it’s because those tables were reserved. This was extremely frustrating, because one of those tables should have been reserved for us. Service: 1

So sorry Alli. As an owner this sucks to hear. We do have protocol as to prioritizing reservations and our lack of support for a new host must feel super disappointing. The weather was a moving target and it’s very hard to manage everyone …So sorry Alli. As an owner this sucks to hear. Give us a break and try again although do note it’s a small family restaurant so it gets loud and crowded at times. More
