I returned to Km Zero after having been there only once, shortly after it opened about eight years ago, to find it improved in form and more or less unchanged in substance. The place is really beautiful and, despite its rustic features, it is at the same time refined and elegant, characterized by multiple furnishing styles that blend together and make it pleasant and welcoming. The menu is rich and varied, and offers an interesting selection of meats, but it cannot be said that they are all of quality and, above all, that they know how to cook it: good but not exceptional grilled meat mix, which looks really sad, without personality , in a dish without color and without a bit of vegetables as a backdrop, while the Chianina burger had an indefinite flavour, and was served overly cooked, making it inedible. I expected the starter of mixed cold cuts to be richer and tastier (being declared for four people and having seen a photo from a few years ago on TripAdvisor in which it was decidedly more inviting), but it was of good quality. However, why it is served with very spicy pan pizza escapes me... It would have been better simple, with a little oil and oregano. The pizza is mediocre, just passable, without infamy and without praise. The most appreciated thing of the entire dinner were the desserts and in particular the tiramisu which, however, out of four requested, only three were available. The sore point of the entire dinner was the service: too much disorganization and not enough staff in the room, overworked and inexperienced. As soon as diners sit at the table, the first thing to do is ask what they want to drink... It is not possible to wait a long time to order both food and drinks.
