Went here after an impromptu stay at Peterborough. Restaurant was empty on a week night which was surprising as the food was fantastic. The decor was really good as well see the attached photos. I had seafood linguine for my main which was cooked to perfection, for starter I shared my partners not sure what it was called but it was crackers with a Mediterranean style spread, very delicious we ate it all.

Everyone who knows me recognizes that when I promote a restaurant it’s because it has really impressed me. However, it was different when I chose to eat at Tre Ristorante Italiano in Peterborough. Small but of interesting decoration, it is tastefully decorated with memories from the past. Perhaps an Italian style of life, which does not exist anymore in today’s fast-technological era, but it portrays what it really means to enjoy food surrounded by family and friends. The walls share family pictures and brings up pleasant conversations between those who with a smile also share memories of their own. The food was incredible. I ordered Carpaccio di Manzo con Rucola e Grana Padano, which was made to perfection! My mouth watered and my senses took me back to a family Italian restaurant in Brasilia, Papardelle, where they made an amazing Fettuccine ai Quattro Formaggi. Disappointed for not seeing it on the menu, I commented with the waitress about my craving and she promptly announced that all the ingredients they serve were fresh, including the savory breat we’ve just had! And with a smile, she said she would make one especially for me. I cannot tell you how good that was! So good, I couldn’t leave a drop of the sauce on the plate! My friend ordered Pollo alla Parmigiana. Knowing how picky she can be when it comes to Italian food, and the fact that her mother cooks authentic Italian food, I was surprised when she announced she would definitely bring her mother to Tre Ristorante Italiano. I was happy… that happy feeling you have after eating a great meal! Reasonably priced, this is my favorite Italian restaurant in Peterborough.
